Arts and crafting the past

To craft is to makeCrafting History provides history-focused arts and crafts sessions for students age 7 and above. At Crafting History, we believe that when we learn history, we are involved in a process of crafting the past, not simply remembering and knowing it. Crafting History is about bringing history to people, bringing agency to students, and resisting narratives that seek to divide us.

We can all craft history.

Crafting History was founded by Katy Wallace, a history educator with fifteen years' experience teaching in classrooms, tutoring, and at university level. Katy has a PhD in history education and is also an artist. Her work as a teacher, her research, and her art are all interdisciplinary and entangled expression of the past and the present.
